We will be presenting at EDUCAUSE Southeast Regional 2013 in Atlanta, GA at the end of May.
Our presentation, Problems are Treasures: Building ITIL Problem Management and a Problem-Solving Culture, reviews Wake Forest University’s problem management implementation from January 2012 to now. As part of that implementation, John Borwick taught “Building a Problem-Solving Culture” workshops about how to shift your organization from a culture of blame to a culture and safety and trust.
Many people focus on the tools or the processes needed for an improvement, but forget the people. This workshop reinforces the role of managers in building a supportive environment for problems to be uncovered, understood, and addressed.
